Quire Belfast LGBT Singers is the only LGBT community choir in Northern Ireland and was founded in 2005. Quire’s membership of 30 men and women is as diverse as the LGBT community itself.

Our mission is to Excite, Empower, Educate, Encourage, Entertain and Enrich the members of Quire, the LGBT community, and the wider community through the celebration of music making, diversity and friendship.

In pursuit of Quire’s mission, we have performed throughout Ireland, produced our own concerts from 2007 to 2009 in the Black Box as part of the annual Outburst queer arts festival and in May 2009, staged the closing night concert of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival at the Waterfront Hall Studio.

During Belfast Pride 2013, Quire will present ‘Songs with Love & Pride’ in the MAC on Saturday 29 June.

Quire’s next Open Night for new singers will be in September 2013 – visit our website for more details on becoming a member.
